Chemical peels are short (usually 1 hour), individually crafted facial treatments used to exfoliate and even skin tone. At Radiant Skin, our chemical peels are performed in-office by licensed medical professionals to ensure that every treatment fits each client’s individual needs.
Chemical peels are used to lighten areas of hyperpigmentation, cleanse pores, removed dead skin cells, promote new cell growth, treat acne and wrinkles, tighten skin, and even skin tone and texture.
Each chemical peel differs, depending on both the chemical solution used and the depth of skin penetration. For all varieties, the basic definition of a chemical peel involves applying a formula of acids to the skin for several minutes, and then removing (peeling) that formula.
Results Include:
At Radiant Skin, we perform superficial chemical peels as part of our in-house facials. Each superficial peel facial takes roughly one hour and can be done every 2-4 weeks. We recommend a series of 6 treatments for best results.
Superficial peels require no downtime, and result in no visible peeling post-facial. Since skin will be more sensitive following a superficial peel, exposure to sun, exfoliators, and activities that cause sweating should be avoided for one week.
At Radiant Skin, Perfect Peel is the most powerful chemical peel we carry, and is safe for use on all skin types. With a proven formula of TCA, kojic acid, retinoic acid, phenol, vitamin C and glutathione (the only peel containing this powerful anti-oxidant), the Perfect Derma Peel helps with problems ranging from sun spots and melasma to acne, wrinkles, and aging skin.
Performed over the course of 2-3 treatments, Perfect Peels take 15-20 minutes to apply and produce the most dramatic results, with the longest healing time.
Producing the most dramatic results, Perfect Peels come with their own post-procedure kit, containing instructions that we explain in office. Two days following your Perfect Peel, you will apply specially formulated towelettes to enhance the effectiveness of your peel. Between 3-6 days following your treatement, your skin will begin to peel; all peeling should be over by day 7. As with our other chemical peels, we recommend avoiding sun, exfoliators, and any activity that causes moderate to excessive sweating during the peeling process.
This combination of alpha hydroxy acids (citric, glycolic and lactic acids) helps improve skin texture and tone by providing both epidermal exfoliation and renewal. Accelerated exfoliation of existing skin surface pigmentation creates a more even skin tone, while a unique brightening complex works to help prevent the formation of new pigmentation. Anti-irritants and antioxidants aid in reducing the appearance of redness, thus minimizing skin irritation. This advanced peel solution is gentle enough for all skin types.
Good for all skin types to brighten & exfoliate.
Our medical professionals can help you choose a peel that addresses your specific skin needs, and recommend additional products and treatments to maximize and maintain the acne-banishing benefits of your peel.
Worried about chemical peel side effects? Most individuals experience dry skin, redness and, a day or two later, light peeling as your top, dull layer of skin cells naturally flakes off, leaving fresh, healthy skin cells at the surface. For most, these chemical peel side effects effects lessen with each consecutive treatment, while complexion-enhancing results increase!
